Press Review February 27, 2018
Work done in the field of information security, Russian-Azerbaijani relations against the backdrop of the Karabakh problem, and the situation in the banking sector are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the importance of information in our global world, and its security. In particular, the author recalls the decree signed by the head of state "On measures to improve the activities in the field of information security."
The author calls the creation of the State Agency for Communications and Information Security of the Special State Security Service, as well as the Information Security Library for state structures, consisting of seven main sections, as important steps in this direction.
An important role for the security of information is played by the state of war in which Azerbaijan is. Since 2014, the National Digital Memory project has been implemented in Azerbaijan.
The website Azadliqinfo.az comments on the words of the Foreign Minister of Armenia Nalbandian, who compared Azerbaijan with the cowardly hero of a famous fairy tale, who begins to scream from fear when he is alone.
The author believes that the answer to this mockery is simply necessary and important for those who are negotiating.
In Moscow on February 22, the publishing house Regnum brought together Russian and Armenian political scientists. After listening to 13 reports, they adopted a memorandum on the recognition of the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh and appealed to the UN in this regard. Nevertheless, despite this attitude, Azerbaijan continues to support Russia. The author gives concrete examples of such support in the article.
The newspaper Echo published an article on the liquidation by banks of branches in the regions. This trend began last year and will continue this year, experts say.
To date, there are 30 participants in the banking sector, and not so long ago there were 45 of them.
In 2014, the total number of bank branches was 752, and by the end of 2017 their number was 509, that is, in four years 243 bank branches were closed. During 2017, the number of branches decreased from 569 to 509. -0 ----
