The implementation of youth policy in the country, increasing public interest in the criminal world, and the situation in the car market of the country are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the youth policy in the country. The author writes about the state program in this field for 2017-2020, which defines priorities, one of which is the active participation of young people in all spheres and the creation of all conditions for this.
The newspaper Echo published an article entitled "The criminal ideology of the 90's returns to Azerbaijan". The article deals with criminal romanticism and the thieves' world, which allegedly draws its justice.
Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, 30 years have passed, and during this time the number of citizens who lived under the thieves' laws has diminished noticeably. Nevertheless, the myth of thieves' romanticism remains. TV plays a role in this, demonstrating films about the delights of thieves' life.
There is a complete degradation of youth policy, and today a large number of young people are serving their sentences in places of imprisonment.
Most of the convicts have chosen the life path of their criminal authority. Hundreds, if not thousands of adolescents, are building their lives on "thieves' concepts." According to official statistics, of the total number of 25 to 26 thousand crimes, the juveniles account for about 500-600 crimes per year, that is, about 5%. Mostly these are thefts or crimes related to the sale of narcotic drugs.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the expected sharp rise in price of cars. This is partly due to the increase by the Cabinet of Ministers of import duties on cars at the end of last year.
The article states that both new and old cars will rise in price. Customs duties have increased by approximately 80%, which will lead to an increase in the cost of auto by 1,500-5,000 manats.

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
