Two views on the issue of Azerbaijan's dependence on oil, the activity of voters in Turkey and its absence in Azerbaijan are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes that the country is changing its status in connection with the end of the oil era and relies on the development of the non-oil sector and the promotion of the brand Made in Azerbaijan.
The author notes that Azerbaijan exports electricity, construction materials, furniture, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fruit and vegetable canned food, aluminum and black metal products, and agricultural products. Products under the brand Made in Azerbaijan are exported to 94 countries.
The newspaper Novoye Vremya in the article In Captivity with Oil writes that it became known recently that Azerbaijan, in comparison with 2015, lost its positions in the Index of Openness of the Budget, taking the 78th place among 115 countries. This index is compiled on the basis of how the government submits information on the most important 8 documents to the public (preliminary budget announcement, draft budget, approved budget, civil budget, monthly and quarterly budget performance reports, a half-year budget review, a final budget and an audit report) .
The website Azadliq.info writes about the activity of voters in Turkey and draws an analogy in this issue with Azerbaijan. This refers to the June 24 presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey. -0----
