The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the fate of homes without documents - the main topics of today's media
The site “Yenisabah.az” discusses the situation around the border lake Garagel (Sevlich), on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Commenting on the situation, political scientist Gabil Huseynli noted that the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders could cause controversy. The borders were defined during the Soviet era, but practically not marked. During the war, they changed again and their exact definition is not such a simple question.
At present, Azerbaijan refers to the maps of the Soviet period and similar processes can occur in Kalbajar and Gazakh, where the Armenians seized the territories of Azerbaijan, he said.
The site “Modern.az” also writes about the situation on the border and the reasons for the tension. Public opinion in Azerbaijan is that all the lands previously occupied by the Armenians should be returned. Now the boundaries are being clarified and the solution of this issue is inevitable.
The Armenians are trying to enlist Russia's support in this matter, but Baku does not intend to back down.
The site “Yeniavaz.com” writes about the problem of houses without documentation. There are about half a million such buildings in the capital and in Absheron. The authorities have not yet been able to solve this problem. Citizens' appeals to various authorities remain unanswered, although this topic has been repeatedly discussed at the highest level. District commissions were even set up to compile a list of such houses.
The most serious problem is houses built under high voltage lines, oil and gas mains and water pipelines.
