Assessment of the justice system of Azerbaijan, increase in the cost of diesel fuel, and a critical view of an MP on the draft state budget are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes that the system of justice in the country is experiencing a period of new development. The author notes that last year the Ministry of Justice prepared about 1,300 draft normative acts related to the development of the economy, improving the social status of the population.
Over 2,600 projects passed legal examination. Over 4,100 businesses and 5,200 media were registered.
The author also notes that for this period, about 4,000 people were brought to disciplinary responsibility, including 2,700 arrested by courts in an administrative order. With respect to 337, criminal cases were opened.
The article has been written on the occasion of the professional holiday of the workers of justice, celebrated today.
The newspaper Echo published an article titled "From gasoline to diesel: does Azerbaijan expect higher prices for diesel fuel?" Recently, prices for gasoline have again risen in Azerbaijan, fortunately, for the time being, regarding premium gasoline, but experts are sure that this is only a prelude to the upcoming increase.
Now the cost of gasoline AI-95 is AZN 1.25, and AI-98 is AZN 1.50; this cost is formed in accordance with the prices for gasoline in the world market. That is why the price increase does not apply to the AI-92 gasoline produced in Azerbaijan and used by the majority of drivers.
The Yeni Musavat newspaper writes about the criticism by MP Ali Masimli of the draft state budget for 2018. Noting the positive aspects of the project, he underlines the need for amendments before the approval of the budget.
It is about the rate of economic growth in comparison with other countries, about cheap oil and uncertain manat policy. All this and the lack of a forecast prevent foreign investments from entering the country. The MP also speaks of inflation, the real level of which is deliberately reduced by the authorities, low wages and bad loans. -0 ---
