Procession of "Immortal Regiment" in Baku
Baku / 09.05.19 / Turan: Today, on the occasion of the Victory Day over fascism, a number of events organized by the authorities and pro-Russian public structures were held.
President Ilham Aliyev laid flowers at the monument to twice the hero of the Soviet Union, Hazi Aslanov, in the Highland Park and met with a group of veterans there.
In addition, events were held at the Fraternal Grave Memorial Complex in the Narimanov district, which was attended by veterans, representatives of government agencies, law enforcement agencies, the public, as well as employees of embassies of several CIS countries.
A motor rally organized by the retro club - Community of the Cossacks of Azerbaijan took place at the memorial complex.
Following the rally to the memorial, a march of the "Immortal Regiment" - Azerbaijan took place. The number of members of this Russian initiative in Azerbaijan is growing every year. Today's march was attended by about 800-1,000 people.
On the occasion of the Victory Day, the Ministry of Defense organizes brass band performances in various parks of Baku. -06D--
