Baku/10.01.22/Turan: A group of participants of the Patriotic War (44-day Second Karabakh War) held a protest in front of the Ministry of Defense on Monday. The servicemen expressed their dissatisfaction with the deprivation of their military decorations.
"Our services were not appreciated in spite of President Ilham Aliyev's order to award the war veterans, to give them appropriatye attention and care. Those who served in the rear received medals while we were ignored," said one of the protesters.
A representative of the Defense Ministry who came out to the protesters promised to investigate the issue. The rally ended without incident.-21B06-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
