Public organizations demanded to close the photo exhibition of Evgeny Primakov
Baku / 31.10.19 / Turan: Public Association “January 20”, “Karabakh Warriors”, the Society of Karabakh Veterans, the Society of Martyrs' Families, the Association for Assistance to the Disabled of Karabakh, the Asif Maharramov Development Fund, the Association of War Veterans, the Union of Reserve Soldiers and the Union of Chernobyl Disabled People issued a joint statement.
The text of this document, sent to the media, said, “Baku Slavic University, in cooperation with the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, held an essay contest dedicated to the 90th birthday of one of the organizers and performers of the events of January 20, 1990, Yevgeny Primakov.
The winners of the essay contest were awarded diplomas at the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan on October 15. An exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the killer Yevgeny Primakov, whose hands are in the blood of our people, was also held at the Russian Information and Cultural Center.
The death of 150 and the wounding of 744 people during January 20 and the following days, the arrests of more than 2,000 of our citizens are the work of one of the main organizers of the January 20, 1990 tragedy, Yevgeny Primakov.
Holding an exhibition in honor of the 90th anniversary of this man is an insult to the Azerbaijani people.
We ask the relevant government bodies on behalf of the families and families of the martyrs of Karabakh:
1. Stop the exhibition in honor of Yevgeny Primakov;
2. To dismiss immediately the leadership of the Baku Slavic University for their "criminal actions";
3. To demand from the organizers of the exhibition to apologize to the Azerbaijani people, and to the families of the victims on January 20 in particular. -02D-
