Rafael Huseynov Re-arrested for 30 days (Updated)
Baku / 02.03.19 / Turan: The youth activist Rafael Huseynov has been again arrested for 30 days in an administrative manner. Turan was told by his father Fizuli Huseynov.
According to him, he was told at the police station in the village of Mehdiabad that his son had been taken to the Absheron district police department on February 28 in the evening.
In the said police department, F. Huseynov was informed that his son was arrested administratively for 30 days. But he wasn"t specified what he was arrested for.
F. Huseynov noted that there are no proper conditions for serving a sentence in the Absheron district police department. According to him, the preliminary detention cells are not intended for long-term detention.
"I myself was kept in the Absheron police preliminary detention center. There are terrible conditions. The cells are not heated there, insanitary conditions prevail, and the food is very poor. I don"t understand why, given the presence of a special point for administratively arrested persons, my son is kept in the bullpen of the Absheron police," F. Huseynov said.
He believes that his son is being prosecuted on a fictitious charge in connection with his active citizenship position.
Note that F. Huseynov, being a member of the Popular Front Party, is known for holding single pickets demanding the release of political prisoners. For this, he was detained, fined and arrested. -06D--
