Baku / 29.04.19 / Turan: The Council of Qadis of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) on April 29 issued a fatwa in connection with the month of Ramadan.
In a document referring to the data of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, it is noted that in Azerbaijan this year, the first day of the Muslim month of Ramadan begins on May 6.
"From the moment of the appearance of the moon, the month of Ramadan begins and the Night of Intentions will be on May 5 to 6," the fatwa says.
The Eid al Fitr holiday, which marks the end of Ramadan and the Muslim fast this year, will be on June 5.
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the completion of Ramadan, non-working holidays were announced on June 5-6.
Ramadan is the holy month of the Muslims. It is believed that it was during this month that the Koran was revealed.
In the month of Ramadan, Muslims refrain from eating and drinking liquid during daylight hours and devote a lot of time to religious enlightenment, reading prayers, etc. -06D--
