Religious activists' families protest in front of Prosecutor General's Office
Baku/02.06.23/Turan: Family members of arrested religious activists held a protest in front of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan on 2 June.
They held portraits of their relatives in their hands, demanding their release.
One of the protesters told Turan that the activists were arrested on charges of drug trafficking, but are being questioned about their cooperation with the Iranian authorities during the investigation. In the meantime, they have been declared "Iranian spies" by state media.
The police did not intervene in the action. Protesters were received at the reception desk of the Prosecutor's Office
