Road accident followed by questions
Baku/31.05.21/Turan: Tebriz Gyulaliyev, the son of human rights defender Ogtay Gyulaliyev, who got into a road accident on May 25, will be operated on in the coming days on the face, Tebriz Gyulaliyev told Turan. The bones of the face are badly damaged.
Gyulalyev noted that after he entered the Baku Medical Center, two nurses came to the intensive care unit and asked him to sign blank forms.
“When I asked why I should sign blank forms, I was told that I would be tested for alcohol and drugs in my blood. The results will be sent to the police,” he said. Gyulalyev refused to sign the blank forms.
“Then the forms were half-filled and presented to me again, and I refused again. And after the forms were completely filled, I signed it,” he said, noting that he considered such actions suspicious.
Against this background, a mysterious situation arose with another participant in the accident - Aynur Ahmedova. In the Sabunchi district police department, which is investigating the incident, Turan was told that A. Ahmedova was at home, and her relative confirmed this to the wife of Ogtay Gyulalyev. However, earlier, on May 26, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Ahmedova’s health was serious, and she was taken to the City Clinical Hospital No. 3. The Ministry of Internal Affairs qualified the health of Tabriz Gyulalyev as moderate.
The question arises, how can a person whose health is serious, i.e. who has received serious injuries, undergo treatment at home, and a person with moderate injuries is in a hospital, where preparations for a complex operation are underway for a whole week?
All attempts to obtain information from the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance (TƏBİB) on the location and condition of Ahmedova since the morning of May 31 were futile, although there were promises to provide such information. Apparently, for some reason, the institution finds it difficult to clarify this issue.
In the evening of May 25, Tabriz Gyulaliyev, the son of human rights activist Ogtay Gyulaliyev, got into a traffic accident on the Kurdakhany-Zabrat highway. His 1999 Mercedes car collided with KİA Sportage driven by Aynur Ahmedova.-0-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
