Saleh Rustamov may go on dry hunger strike from Monday
Baku/04.12.21/Turan: The former head of the Gedabey region уxecutive зower Saleh Rustamov has been on hunger strike for 29 days in jail.
Lawyer Bahruz Bayramov told Turan that Rustamov is in extremely serious health condition as a result of the prolonged hunger strike.
"Note that he already has faced problems with his nervous system and brain functioning. He speaks slowly, periodically his face seems to freeze up," the lawyer said.
He said Rustamov told him to have his lawyer come on Monday and then he would make his final decision about the dry hunger strike.
"If he refuses to drink water, according to the doctors, his body will not last a day," the lawyer said with regret.
* Supporter of the Party of People's Front of Azerbaijan (PPFA) and veteran of the first Karabakh war Saleh Rustamov was arrested in May 2018 and sentenced to 7 years 3 months of imprisonment in a trumped-up case of "illegal funding of the PPFA".
He was declared a political prisoner by human rights activists. On November 6, he began an indefinite hunger strike demanding his release. -В06-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
