Sappers of Defense Ministry cleared over 2,300 hectares of land from mines and UXO in May
Baku/01.06.22/Turan: Azerbaijani Armed Forces' engineer-sapper units cleared over 2,300 hectares of land in the liberated territories in May. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
More than 18600 hectares of the liberated territories were cleared from mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO). More than 6,000 anti-personnel, more than 2,100 anti-tank and more than 9,400 UXO were discovered and destroyed.
"The main efforts are aimed at demining populated settlements, cultivated areas, roads and infrastructure facilities in the liberated territories," reads the press release.-06B-
