Saudi Arabia shown disrespect for Azerbaijani pilgrims

Azerbaijani pilgrims who have made this year's hajj, did not face serious problems, apart from the difficulties on return. The fact that the pilgrims went to Hajj by   aircraft of  "AZAL". However, on the way back the Saudi authorities have set a condition - to use the services of airlines in this country, according toinformed source, who requested anonymity.

This condition has put by a closest relatives of the royal family. However, the Saudi authorities did not fulfill their obligations well. Aircraft flew with long delayws. At the same time, the airline did not fulfill obligations to provide passengers with food and drink during the period of delay. Azerbaijan Hajj mission itself had to buy food and water for the pilgrims.

To address the issue the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mecca had to turn to the Government of Saudi Arabia. "The Azerbaijani side considers this attitude as a lack of respect for the pilgrims,"​​- said the source.

The last group of Azerbaijani hostages was to arrive on Friday evening.

Two pilgrims from Azerbaijan remain in the hospital due to worsening of their health. They are expected to return home in the coming days.-05B-
