Committee to Protect Civil Society starts to prepare a plan of action
Committee to Protect Civil Society (SCPCS) held on Friday next scheduled meeting, and discussed the preparation of a plan of action on the situation of human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan.
The action plan includes the situation with freedom of speech and expression, religion, choice, movement, fair trial and protection of prisoners' rights, privacy, and others.
It was also decided to hold a forum on human rights and freedoms.
* SCPCS was established in 2009 by the NGOs to counter the adoption of amendments to the legislation toughening the activities of civil society. Today the subject of the activity of the SCPCS expanded.-0-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
