Seven Days in Row Not to Be Workdays for New Year in Azerbaijan
Baku / 03.12.19 / Turan: The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan issued an order to postpone the weekend of December 28 and 29 to January 3 and 6, respectively.
In this regard, Azerbaijan will not have workdays for seven days in a row - from December 31 to January 6, 2020 inclusive.
December 31 is celebrated as the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis, and January 1-2 - as New Year. Further, in connection with the above transfer, the holidays will also be January 3, 4, 5, and 6.
The Cabinet of Ministers also determined non-working days on the occasion of the holidays of Novruz, Ramadan and Gurban, respectively March 20-24, May 24-25, and July 31 - August 1. -----0-----

On Sunday, December 22, changeable cloudy weather is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. Drizzle is possible during the night and morning in some areas of the peninsula. Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
