Shia of Azerbaijan ready to complete mourning
According to the Caucasian Muslims Office, this year Arbain, a ceremony of 40 days of mourning for Imam Hussein, is marked on 13 December. On this occasion, the ceremony will be held in mosques, along with the martyrs of Karbala will be commemorated the martyrs of Karabakh.
* In the year 680 AD in the desert near the town of Karbala in an unequal battle with the Umayyad was killed by a grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, the son of Imam Ali – Hussein, and a group of his supporters. The followers of Imam Ali (Shiites) consider Husseina martyr, and annually mark Ashura, as a universal mourning. However, for the Sunni, Hussein is a mere mortal. Each year, the Shiites mark for 40 days mourning for Imam Hussein and his associates in the month Muharrram. -05D-
