Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade received today a group of Italian journalists: Christina Missorini,a reporter of the ANSA agency and Roselli Fabian, employee of the newspaper "L Osservatore Romano."
Pashazadeh noted the importance of such visits of journalists in Azerbaijan in order to inform the world community about the realities of the country. Sheikh recalled his interview with the Italian newspaper "Republika" after the events of Bloody January 1990. The interview played a big role in breaking the information blockade of Azerbaijan. Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
