Since the beginning of the year in natural disasters killed 23 people
As a result of natural and man-made disasters in the first quarter of 2014 in Azerbaijan, 23 people were killed and 55 injured. Rescuers rescued 7 people. This is stated in the official statistics promulgated by MOE.
Total in the period under review occurred 2,129 natural and technogenic accidents that was 623 cases more than in the same period last year.
In the period under review there were 16 explosions (4 more than last year), which killed five people and injured 26.
The MOE received 2,064 calls about fires, which killed 16 people (5 people more than last year). -06D-

Following the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Baku (November 11-22), the date for municipal elections in Azerbaijan is expected to be announced.
