Baku/20.05.20/Turan: "Gypsy quarter" in Yevlakh (295 km west of Baku) remains in isolation, except for local residents there they don’t let anyone go there the second day, according to local sources.
Two days ago in Yevlakh a sharp increase in patients with coronavirus was recorded; 53 of them were residents of this quarter.
Tough quarantine measures caused discontent among residents and they entered into a brawl with the police.
After the introduction of internal troops into the city, the situation stabilized.
At the entrance and exit from the area, roadblocks are established.
According to local authorities, about one and a half thousand people live in the quarter.
Currently, doctors continue to test the residents of the quarter, and all patients are hospitalized. -02D-
