Six People Continue Hunger Strike in Support of Mehman Huseynov and Other Political Prisoners
Baku / 10.01.19 / Turan: A hunger strike continues in the headquarters of the Musavat party, demanding the release of blogger Mehman Huseynov and all other political prisoners. According to the action participant and Musavat Board member Tofig Yagublu, due to exhaustion of the body, Tofig Mammadov and Yashar Ferazi stopped the hunger strike.
Mammadov has been holding a hunger strike since January 2, and Ferazi - since January 6.
Currently, in addition to Yagublu, another 5 people are holding a hunger strike: Elshad Israfilly, Fuad Rahimli, Mubariz Fatullayev and Rovshan Niftalyzadeh, as well as Natig Israfil who joined the hunger strike today.
The action is held in solidarity with blogger Huseynov, who went on a hunger strike on December 26 as a sign of protest against the institution of a new criminal case against him. -05C06--
