State Agency for Highways on Situation on Roads of Azerbaijan

Baku/12.03.21/Turan: The State Agency for Highways (SAH) has disseminated a message on the weather situation in the country.

So, snow is falling on the Baku-Guba-Russia highway. On the section of this highway Guba-Gusar it is 8 degrees below zero, and on Khinalig - minus 15 degrees.

Snow, accompanied by a strong wind, is on the Baku-Gobustan route.

In Gobustan, the thickness of the snow cover reaches 10-12 cm, and the air temperature reaches 2-3 degrees of frost.

It is also snowing in the Ganja-Gazakh direction. The height of the snow cover reaches 15-20 cm.

Snowfall is also observed in the Oguz-Gabala-Sheki and Ismayilli-Gabala directions. Here, the thickness of the snow cover reaches 15-20 cm.

Frosty weather with heavy snowfall was noted in Dashkesan and Lerik.

To avoid icy roads, the roads are covered with salt and sand.

According to the hydrometeorological service, the height of the snow cover in Sarybash (Gakh) reaches 42 cm, Shahdag - 28 cm, Kishchai - 10 cm, Dashkesan -19 cm, Goygol - 15 cm, Gusar -14 cm, Guba 12 cm, Gryz - 11 cm, and Gadabay - 8 cm. -05D-
