State Security Service arrested mobile employees
State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan announced the arrest of four citizens of Azerbaijan: Shahin Israilov, Fuad Ahmadli, Etibar Musayev and Vugar Gasimov, accused of illegal operations. Shahin Israilov is the main engineers of mobile operator «Bakcell», Fuad Ahmadli - employee "Azerfon", Etibar Musayev – employee of «Azercell». At the request of Vugar Gasimov and others they gave personal data of subscribers and other public information, reads the statement on the SSS website. Thus, the rights have been violated by individuals and legal entities, reports the SSS. A lawsuit was filed under the Article 302.1 and 308.1 of the Criminal Code (violation of the law on operational and investigative activities and abuse of power). All of them were arrested. During searches in the homes of these people were discovered evidence of their illegal activities. In the flat of Fuad Ahmadli, who is the head of the youth organization of PFPA in Khatai district was found banned religious literature, leaflets with speeches of Fatullah Gulen, reads then report of SSS. However, the deputy chairman of PFPA Gezal Bayramli denied the information from the State Security Service, saying that investigators took away from the Fuad Ahmadli’s flat a religious literature. President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
