Statistics show growth of road accidents
Baku/09.08.22/Turan: Over the seven months of this year, the number of road accidents grew by 8.1% as compared to the last year. This is evidenced by the State Statistics Committee of the country.
So, this year 817 road accidents were recorded, following which 1109 people were injured, which is up by 12.2% from the last year. Of the injured, 336 people died and 773 were injured.
Note that 84.1% of accidents occurred in populated areas. 79.2% of those killed in accidents are men.
According to official data, drunk drivers committed 4 accidents, resulting in the death of one person. -05D-
