Baku/17.06.21/Turan: Strong wind is expected in Azerbaijan, and especially in Baku and Absheron from June 18 to June 19. The Ministry of Emergencies of the country urges the population to be cautious and strictly observe the relevant safety rules in order to avoid the dangers associated with strong winds.
The ministry reminds of the danger of going to sea in windy weather, and recommends calling 112 in case of emergency.
According to the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology, on June 18 the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will be mostly rainless, strong north-west wind will blow. The temperature will be 22-25 degrees at night, 27-30 degrees in the daytime.
No rain is expected in regions of the country. However, in some mountainous areas, thunderstorms, rain and hail are possible. In the morning, there will be fog in some places, and the west wind will intensify in some places.
The temperature will be 20-24 degrees at night, 34-39 degrees in the daytime, 12-17 degrees at night in the mountains, 19-24 degrees in the daytime. -06D-

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.

The institute’s decision follows an appeal from Gasymly’s family, citing financial hardship due to her father's imprisonment, which they claim is politically motivated.
