The activist of "Muslim Unity" complained about creating problems for receiving treatment
Baku/14.06.23/Turan: Despite the complication of health problems in the bedridden activist of the Muslim Unity Movement (MUM) Abulfaz Bunyadov, he is being hindered for examination and treatment.
Bunyadov was detained during a special operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in November 2015 in the village of Nardaran against the leaders and activists of the MUM. At the same time, he was seriously injured. Despite this, Bunyadov was sentenced to a long prison term. In prison, he completely lost the ability to move around and in 2019, Bunyadov, chained to bed rest, was released early.
However, after his release, a police post was left in front of his house in Nardaran, which was established after his detention, Bunyadov told the Turan news agency.
Bunyadov repeatedly appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to remove police surveillance, but in vain. "The presence of police creates problems for me, including for medical examination, treatment, and doctors coming to our house. I have problems with my lungs, there is a process of inflammation, fluid accumulates, the temperature has been above normal for 20 days, but I have not been released for inpatient treatment. I call the hotline "102" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they answer me that the permit must be issued by the 42nd department of the Sabunchy district police department. And they say that it is necessary to get permission from the district administration itself, and so everyone sends me to each other, but in the end there are no results," Bunyadov said.
The Interior Ministry could not be reached for comment. ---03B21/06---
