The ban for the lawyer Asabali Mustafayev to travel abroad is lifted
Baku/30.07.19/Turan: The ban on foreign trips of lawyer Asabali Mustafayev has been lifted.
The ban was introduced in 2014 by the Prosecutor General's Office, Mustafayev told Turan.
"For five years I couldn"t go outside of Azerbaijan. In April I applied to the General Prosecutor"s Office's Investigation Department for Serious Crimes and attached a certificate from a medical clinic about the need for treatment abroad. There was no response. Therefore, I went to the ombudsman and went to court "Finally, today I received a letter from the office of the prosecutor"s office about the lifting of the ban on traveling abroad," Mustafayev said.
However, according to the lawyer, other restrictions has not been lifted.
In particular, the personal bank account and the account of the NP headed by him (Sumgayit Resource Center for Democracy and Human Rights) are still frozen, funds withdrawn from accounts have not been returned.
No compensation is paid for legal services appointed by the European Court of Human Rights. -06D--
