The court did not release three activists under house arrest
Baku / 02.09.20 / Turan: On Wednesday, the Nasimi District Court considered petitions to change the preventive measure and transfer to house arrest of three members of the Popular Front Party: Gunduz Mirzoyev, Telman Seyfullaev and Baba Suleimanov.
They were arrested in connection with the “Karabakh action” on July 14-15 and are accused of “destroying other people's property”, “violating public order” and “resisting the police”.
However, the court rejected the requests, leaving the activists in custody, the PFPA reported.
Lawyers will appeal these decisions.
On July 14-15, a demonstration took place in Baku in support of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which fought with the Armenians in the Tovuz region.
A group of protesters entered the parliament building. Then the police dispersed the action.
After the action, 48 PFPA members were detained. Of these, 18 were brought to criminal responsibility, 16 were arrested in the administrative order. The rest were released after interrogation. –03B06-

Muslim Unity Movement (MU) activist Akhsan Nuruzade has been detained in Azerbaijan 20 days after being released from prison. Nuruzade was detained in the late afternoon of October 26 when he was meeting his daughter who was returning from classes at Khazar University in Baku, the MU reported.
