The court left the PFPA activist under arrest
Baku / 04.04.19 / Turan: On Tuesday, the Baku Court of Appeal (BCA) rejected the complaint of the PFPA activist Agyl Humbatov, who was arrested for 30 days by the Khazar district court under the Article 535.1 (non-subordination of the police) of the Administrative Offenses Code.
The activist denied the charges, stating that the real reason for his arrest is a video appeal to the President of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the lawyer Fahraddin Mehdiyev also indicated that the materials of the prosecution do not fit with the real circumstances of the case. According to the lawyer, the police took the defendant from March 14 from home and took her to the police station.
The next day he appeared before the Surakhani court and received 30 days of arrest under article 535.1. However, he was not provided with a lawyer.
Mehdiyev also said that if you view the recordings from surveillance cameras from the place where, according to the police, he did not obey the police, then it turns out that Humbatov did not commit any wrongdoing.
Humbatov himself said that when he was taken away from home, his mobile phone was taken away. The police openly declared to him that they had complaints about his writings in social networks.
"I said that I have no work, three young children, whom I have to feed by collecting cardboard in garbage dumps. In the Khazar district police department, I was asked about the place of work of relatives. I refused to sign the police non-submission report. We spent the night in the police, and in the morning we were taken to court," said Humbatov. According to the activist, his signature in the administrative protocol and the document on the refusal of the lawyer rigged. In the end, the court did not satisfy Humbatov"s complaint.
Humbatov was detained on March 14. The Party considers that the reason for the detention is an appeal to President Ilham Aliyev through social networks. A resident of the village of Zira, Humbatov said that he was unemployed and raised three children, and the local authorities are not interested in his problems, so he is forced to earn a living by collecting in cardboard dumps and selling it. -06D-
