Baku/21.01.21/Turan: Over the past day, 218 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, 770 people recovered, nine died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Thursday.
The total number of infected people reached 228,246, including 218,387 recovered, 3,053 died, 6,806 active patients continue treatment.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,341,807 tests have been carried out, including 5,309 in the last 24 hours. — 06D-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
