The healthcare system under the onslaught of the coronavirus
Baku/25.08.21/Turan: Last week a journalist Gabil Abbasoglu wrote on Facebook about the health of his relatives. Eighteen relatives are seriously ill with symptoms of COVID. The "ambulance", which they hardly called for testing the patients, did not arrive for a long time, referring to the mourning day of Ashura (!) and the bad roads.
Only 3 days later - on August 5, the ambulance doctors took a sample from the patients and left. There was no answer for four days. The health of 13 people was critical, and some are in critical condition. The doctor does not diagnose, so the Ministry of Health does not treat or hospitalize if there is no diagnosis ...
In other statuses, they write about the lack of free places in hospitals. By all accounts, the national health care system has sagged under the onslaught of the coronavirus.
About 4 thousand new patients with coronavirus are registered in Azerbaijan every day. Because of the difficulty in calling doctors and testing, it is clear that the number of coronavirus patients is higher than officially announced.
However, Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, answering a question from REAL TV, said that more than 50% of the seats in COVID hospitals are not occupied. He explained this by the fact that not every patient is admitted to hospitals.
Turan agency asked the TƏBİB association about complaints from citizens about the lack of free places in coronavirus clinics, the inability to call an ambulance by phone. The representative of the association, Kenan Kerimov, asked to submit questions in writing. Questions were duplicated in writing at 10 a.m. By 5 p.m there was no answer. It should be noted that the laws on mass media and on obtaining information do not require a written request, and secondly, the laws require a prompt response from the information owner to journalists' inquiries. For TƏBIB's information, operational interaction with journalists is in the interests of the state structures themselves and in the interests of the common cause. — 0—

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
