The investigation regards memory cards as piercing-cutting objects
Baku / 27.12.17 / Turan: According to the new accusation, the leader of the Movement "Muslim Unity" Tale Bagirzade is charged with illegal storage of mini-memory cards, which the investigation qualifies as piercing-cutting objects, said relatives by Bagirzade.
On July 28, Bagirzade, sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment, was transferred to the Gobustan prison. On arrival, he was searched and seven mini-cards were found with him. Bagirzade was immediately imprisoned in a punishment cell, and the cards were sent for examination. These cards contained religious songs.
Although the examination did not reveal the prohibited content on the cards, the investigation qualified their possession as a violation of the law. Against Bagirzade, a new lawsuit was filed under the Article 317-2 of the Criminal Code (storage and manufacturing of articles prohibited in storage in places of detention) of the Criminal Code.
* Taleh Bagirzade was arrested on November 26 during a special operation of the Interior Ministry in the village of Nardaran along with dozens of his supporters. Subsequently, Bagirzade was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment on charges of trying to seize power and change the existing system. -06B-
