The law on "Freedom of religion" and "media" tightens
On Wednesday, the regular meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights considered the amendments to the law "On freedom of religion". According to parliamentary sources, the amendments are restrictive and provide the elimination of religious organizations accused of extremism. It is not reported how will be evaluated belonging to extremism, and what will be considered extremism.
At the same time the committee members discussed the amendments to the law "On mass media", according to which the information in the media about operations against religious extremism should be covered by means determined by the power body, carrying out such an operation.
