The penitentiary service did not find any traces of torture from Bayram Mammadov
Baku / 17.05.17 / Turan: The penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice considered the complaint of Bayram Mamedov, who is serving a sentence in colony N13, for torture and unlawful actions to which he is subjected the lawyer Elchin Sadigov was informed by the head of the operative-regime management of the Penitentiary Service Mirsaleh Seyidov. "During his imprisonment Bayram Mammadov was provided with material and living conditions in accordance with the Code of Penalty Execution, he was not subjected to torture, inhuman or degrading treatment, his personal safety is ensured in accordance with the legal legislation," the head of the department said. He also claims that there are no restrictions on the legal assistance of a young activist.
Bayram Mammadov complained of the treatment of the leadership of the colony number 13.
On April 29, his lawyer Elchin Sadigov told RadioAzadlig that they were obstructing the meeting with his client.
The lawyer said that his client was told that: he will be under constant pressure for writing graffiti on the monument to Heydar Aliyev.
"From the moment Bayram Mamedov was placed in jail N 13, he is sick, because his bed is near the toilet, in a place where there is a constant draft." Despite Mamedov's poor health he is involved in forced labor, unjustifiably placed in the punishment cell," the lawyer said.
In early May, in connection with all of the above, there were appeals to the relevant structures.
Bayram Mammadov, along with another activist Giyas Ibrahimli, was arrested on May 1 last year. According to the widespread MIB information, with Mamedov was found heroin - 2.904 grams, and during a search in the house found 1 kilo 150 grams of heroin. With the detainee along with him Giyas Ibrahimli were found 2.607 grams of heroin, and during the search in his apartment was found an additional 1 kilo and 10 grams of heroin.
However, young activists did not accept the charge, explaining their arrest of graffiti on the monument to Heydar Aliyev "With the holiday of slaves!". Bayram Mammadov was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
