The prime minister said, and “Azersu” did
Baku/05.05.21/Turan: Director of the Turan Information Agency Mehman Aliyev expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Ali Asadov for the prompt solution of the problem of groundwater in the central part of the village of Buzovna.
For more than three months, local authorities (Executive Power of the Khazar region, Buzovnina municipality) and the specialized service (Azersu OJSC, Sanitary Service) did not accept anything to eliminate the groundwater spill to the surface in the very center of the Buzovna village - Nahir Bulagy. As a result, the asphalt pavement was destroyed; the movement of transport and simple movement of people became difficult.
A letter was sent to the prime minister on March 30, and already on April 2, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Executive Power of the Khazar region, Azersu OJSC and the Ministry of Ecology to eliminate the problem and inform the agency about it. The problem was eliminated within one day.
“This case once again demonstrates the presence of poor governance at the local level of executive, municipal bodies and specialized services, which causes legitimate discontent of the population, which projects it onto the higher authorities.
It is necessary to take urgent measures to increase the responsibility and efficiency of local authorities and life support services,” Aliyev said in a May 4 letter.
In turn, the Executive power of the Khazar region decided to demonstrate its smartness in case of poor work, informing the Turan agency on April 23 that, allegedly, forwarded a letter to Azersu OJSC to eliminate this problem on March 29.
“That is, Executive Power wants to say that it took action before the agency's letter to the Prime Minister. In this case, I would like to ask the leadership of the Khazar region: why were no measures taken in the previous days and months? ”Aliyev said.
The problem could have been resolved much more quickly if local residents had raised the issue with the authorities. “The villagers turned to me for help. I offered to sign a collective letter to several addresses. People promised, but no signatures were collected. This is a typical problem of local communities, which are passive in such matters. Hence the origins of negligence and ignorance of the problem by the authorities and services,” Aliyev said. —0—
