The prosecutor asks to condemn conditionally the site editor
Baku / 18.03.19 / Turan: The judicial investigation of the case of the chief editor of the Teref.info site Nureddin Ismayilov has completed. He is charged under the Articxles 281.2 (open appeals against the state), 309 (abuse of power) and 313 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code.
The reason for this was the reprint of Etibar Pirverdiyev"s "Crept-Currency Business" articles from musavat.com and Azerenergy is being audited, Pirverdiev is being interrogated for "electric terror" - Finnish corruption - on the repotyor.info.
The defendant denied the charges, noted that the publications do not have any anti-state appeals, and this is the fault of the official during the blackout on July 3, 2018.
At today's meeting in the Baku Serious Crimes Court the state prosecutor proposed to sentence the journalist to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment with a 2-year probation period.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
