The prosecutor asks to condemn family of Panah Huseyn

 Trial  in the case of seven relatives of the leader of the People's Party Panah Huseyn, accused of hooliganism, took place in the Sabirabad regional court.  The reason  for  the arrest of relatives of Hussein became "household dispute." This case was investigated by the police a half years ago, but the specific charges have not been filed.

However, after the parliamentary elections, against the relatives of Hussein began a crackdown of the fact that they "very actively" participated in his election campaign. It was after the elections, someone decided to resume the criminal case. Therefore, Hussein believes that his family persecuted for political reasons.

On Monday, the trial was made by the prosecutor, who called to condemn all the accused to terms of imprisonment ranging from 2.5 to 5 years, without providing any evidence in this case. Human rights activist Novella Jafaroglu who monitored the  trial also believes that the case is politically motivated.

The next court trial was scheduled for December 7.

*People brought to justice are brother of the opposition leader - Adil Hussein, nephew - Vasif Huseynov,  cousins Mansur, Gashgay, Ihtiyar, Khalid and Sarhosh  Huseynov. They were all members of the team of Panah Huseyn at the parliamentary elections on November  1, 2015, and recorded numerous violations. After that were court filed were submitted.-05B-
