The quarantine regime is tightened, SMS permissions return
Baku/08.12.20/Turan: The special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan has been extended until 6 a.m. on January 31, 2021, and from 6 a.m. on December 14, the SMS permission system will be applied again, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on December 8. The tightening of the regime is associated with a sharp increase in coronavirus infections.
From December 14 to January 18, 2021, work and the provision of services in all areas, except for those established by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, are suspended throughout the territory of Azerbaijan.
Shopping facilities, catering facilities, including restaurants, cafes and teahouses, are allowed to provide only delivery and online sales services.
From December 14 to January 18, the entry and exit of transport from Baku is suspended, except for operational special purpose vehicles and vehicles engaged in cargo transportation.
Entry and exit are also suspended to Sumgayit, Ganja, Mingachevir, Shirvan and Absheron region, as well as to the regional centers of Lankaran, Masalli, Jalilabad, Sheki, Zagatala, Guba, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Barda, Bilasuvar and Ismayilli (with the exception of villages and settlements). -02D-
