The State Border Service of Azerbaijan reported on its activities for June
Baku/03.07.23/Turan: In June, 40 border violators were detained in Azerbaijan, the State Border Service of the country said in a statement following the results of its activities last month.
Among the border violators, 19 people were citizens of Azerbaijan, 9 – Pakistan, 4 – Turkey, 4 – Afghanistan and 1 each – Ukraine, Iran and India.
25 people were detained in connection with illegal migration.
In addition, 973 people were detained in connection with the violation of the border regime.
As part of the measures to combat crime, 298 people who were put on the wanted list were identified and handed over to the relevant authorities. Also, 532 people were prevented from leaving the country, to whom a "stop" was introduced.
Border guards also seized from illegal traffic 178 kg 232 gram and 11 388 psychotropic pills.
In addition, contraband goods worth 3 million 275 thousand 777 manat were detained. ---06B---
