The state should solve the problem with vaccination - expert
Baku/04.24.19/Turan: There are no vaccines against chickenpox in Azerbaijan, Afag Aliyeva, deputy director of the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, said today. According to her, in other countries, vaccination against chickenpox is applied. She suggested that possibly in subsequent years, vaccination against this disease would be carried out in Azerbaijan. Aliyeva noted that in 2018, 15,870 citizens of Azerbaijan were infected with chickenpox. "Vaccination against chickenpox has been carried out in Azerbaijan until recently, but for unknown reasons it is not being done now," Adyl Gaybulla, in his interview with Turan, said in an interview with Turan. According to him, in accordance with the UNISEF program, every child should be vaccinated and immunized after reaching a certain age. The result of this particular immunization is that the number of infectious diseases has sharply decreased throughout the world. "Children definitely need to be vaccinated against diseases such as tuberculosis, scarlet fever, diphtheria, chickenpox, rubella, etc. All this is done to strengthen immunity against these diseases," said Geybulla. According to the expert, the state should by all means fight against infectious diseases, including through vaccination. Without vaccination, the disease cannot be prevented and this problem must be solved, he concluded. -21B-
