The trial in the case of footballer Javid Huseynov is closed to the public
A preparatory meeting in the case of a football player Javid Huseynov, charged with failure to report a crime against a journalist Rasim Aliyev, took place in the Sabail District Court.
At the meeting, the court rejected the petition of lawyer Huseynov to replace the measure of restraint and release of a football player from custody. Journalists were not let to the courtroom. The hearing on the merits is scheduled for 10 February.
Asabali Mustafayev , a lawyer for the family of the journalist told "Turan", the parents of the deceased in this case are not included as the injured party. "The family by Rasim Aliyev is kept away from the case. The prosecutor's office has separated the case against the player from the case of the murder of Rasim Aliyev," said Mustafayev.
* Rasim Aliyev was beaten by a group of relatives and friends of Javid Huseynov on August 8, 2015. On the same day he was hospitalized, and died on August 9. The reason for the beating was the criticism of the behavior of the football player by thejournalist.-05C06--
