Baku / 05.04.18 / Turan: Three participants of a protest, sentenced to six years of imprisonment, were released on April 5 due to the end of the sentence serving term. They are Tarlan Aghadadashov, Rovshan Allahverdiyev, and Ilham Khatamov.
Tarlan Aghadadashov told Radio Azadlig that three more participants of the action - Davud Kerimov, Telman Shiraliyev and Elshad Rzayev, who were arrested along with them, continue to serve their sentence. The term of their punishment will be completed in 6 months.
On October 5, 2012, a protest action was held in Baku, demanding to abolish the ban on wearing the hijab (women's headscarves) in secondary schools. Then 30 participants of the action were arrested. -0-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
