Tofig Yagublu has lost 13 kilogram
Baku/18.01.13/Turan: Opposition politician Tofig Yagublu, who is serving an administrative arrest, continues his hunger strike for the 14th day.
Today, his daughter Nigar Hazi and Dr. Adyl Geybulla visited him at Hospital No. 6.
“We gave Tofig Yagublu an infusion to replenish electrolytes in the body. Because of the absence of fluid, his water balance is disturbed. He is lethargic, cannot get up,” the doctor told Turan.
The politician's daughter said that Yagublu had lost 13 kg since the beginning of the hunger strike and now weighs 81 kg.
His health worsens every day, but he continues his hunger strike demanding his release. For the 12th day, his wife Maya Yagublu is on a hunger strike in solidarity with T. Yagublu.
On January 18, 8 people and two more people participated in the hunger strike of solidarity with Yagublu in Agdash region. The participants in these actions demand the release of not only Yagublu, but also public activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev and other political prisoners.—B06-
