Baku / 11.07.19 / Turan: On July 11, the Binagadi district court chaired by Emin Aliyev continued the process of filing a claim by the deputy director of School Number 251 Elmira Alandarova against journalist Sevinj Vagifgyzy.
The reason for attracting a journalist to trial was the video report shown on Meydan TV on voting at the special presidential election of April 11, 2018 at school number 251. The report was distributed under the heading Carousel at School Number 251.
In the video report you can see how Alandarova directs various groups of people on the school"s territory, including the room where the voting takes place.
A year later, Alandarova filed a lawsuit against the journalist, finding that she had offended her honor and dignity. The plaintiff demands 2,500 manat from the journalist in compensation.
During the process, the judge suggested that the parties agree on reconciliation.
The representative of the plaintiff said the settlement agreement can be concluded if the journalist apologizes. Vagifgyzy, on the other hand, stated that she could not "put up with or apologize to those who participated in election fraud".
The court considered the appointment of a number of examinations.
The lawyer of the journalist Zibeyda Sadigova petitioned for the interrogation of a witness.
