Two Combatants in Syria Face Long Prison Term
The Court of Grave Crimes completed the trial of two Azerbaijani citizens, Hussein Mammadov and Nijat Abbasov accused of participating in the composition of the Islamist terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.
Today, the public prosecutor called on to condemn both the defendants to 15 years, Turan was told in court.
On May 22 the defense and the accused themselves will speak with the last word.
Recall that these two young men are part of a group of 26 people arrested by the Ministry of National Security in September 2014.
They were charged with the creation of illegal armed formations.
So far, several dozen people have been convicted for taking part in fighting in the formation of the Islamic State and other groups. -02D-
