Baku/17.07.23/Turan: Unstable weather with precipitation has been established on the territory of Azerbaijan. In some areas, the rains are intense, sometimes turning into downpours. On Shahdag (Greater Caucasus), at altitudes of 2800 m. snow fell, according to the summary of the National Hydrometeorological Service at 11.00 on July 17.

In many regions, the amount of precipitation exceeded the monthly norm. Thus, 34 mm (over 51% of the monthly norm) of precipitation fell in Oguz, 31 mm (223%) in Lankaran, 30 mm (53%) in Khaltan, 15 mm (154%) in Beylagan, 15 mm (92%) in Gobustan, etc.

5 mm of precipitation fell in Baku and Absheron, which is 2 times higher than the monthly norm.

The speed of the north-western wind in Ganja and Neftchala at times reached 20 m/s, Jeyranchel – 17 m/s, Baku and Absheron – 18 m/s.

Wave height in the area of the "Neft Dashlary" station reached 3 m.

Unstable weather with precipitation will last until the middle for July 18.

During this period, there will be intermittent rains, sometimes intense.

From the second half of July 18, precipitation will gradually stop.

July 19-20 is expected to be mostly without precipitation.
