A powerful explosion and fire on an oil platform in the Caspian Sea
Baku / 04.07.21 / Turan: A powerful explosion, followed by a large fire, occurred on the evening of July 4 on one of the oil platforms in the Caspian Sea south of the Baku Bay.
The glow from the fire can be seen from the embankment in Baku.
According to unofficial information, the explosion took place at the Umid field.
According to other unofficial data, the platform on "Gum Adasy" is on fire.
Both fields are located several tens of kilometers from Baku.
