Azerbaijan’s capital and the Absheron Peninsula are set for variable cloudy conditions on Wednesday, with intermittent fog expected to briefly reduce visibility, although rainfall is unlikely to fall.

Meteorologists forecast the day to begin with patchy fog in some suburban areas during daylight hours, while prevailing partly cloudy skies will dominate the overall weather. A mild northwesterly wind is projected, bringing temperatures ranging from 3–6°C during the night and rising to between 6–9°C by day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to climb gradually from 767 to 773 mm mercury, and relative humidity levels are predicted to remain high at 70–80 percent.

Elsewhere in Azerbaijan, regional forecasts suggest generally dry conditions across most districts. However, experts caution that eastern regions could see brief patches of fog during the evening hours. In these areas, a moderate westerly wind is anticipated to provide some relief from still air, though intermittent haze may develop in localized pockets.

Temperature variations are expected to be noticeable between different regions. In the lowland areas, nighttime temperatures are forecast to range from 2°C in colder spots to a mild 3°C elsewhere, with daytime highs modestly increasing to between 7–12°C. In contrast, mountainous and high-altitude zones are predicted to experience colder conditions – nighttime lows in the mountains are anticipated to dip to 5–10°C with peak regions registering as low as 11–16°C, while daytime temperatures in the highest areas may linger between 0–5°C.
