Who is in charge of the Armenian Trophy Equipment Park in Baku?
Baku/09.04.21/Turan: In February 2021, on a vacant lot adjacent to the Primorsky Park, in the Khatai district in Baku (Nobel Avenue, "White City"), the construction of the Victory Museum and a park of captured Armenian military equipment has begun. The beginning of the work was widely announced in the press, recently the media showed a video with military trophies displayed on it - Armenian tanks, armored personnel carriers, rocket launchers, artillery and even a dummy of an Armenian tanker. Some of the captured military equipment were demonstrated at the parade, which took place in Baku on December 10.
There is also a famous stand on the territory, collected from license plates found in the liberated territories. This stand was shown at the Victory Parade in Baku. A large inscription is visible against the background of hundreds of license plates: “Karabakh is Azerbaijan”.
The open-air exhibition has been completed. If you open the gates and allow the admission of visitors, there will be many who want to inspect the broken military equipment up close. Trailers for selling souvenirs and informing visitors have already been installed there. There is a sign in Azerbaijani and English - "Hərbi qənimətlər parkı".
But the doors of the exhibition are closed. Turan agency spent half a day on April 9 trying to find out: when the exhibition opens, who is holding it, will the entrance be a paid, how much enemy equipment has been collected there, this exposition is permanent, or the trophies will be removed when Azerbaijan and Armenia become friends.
After long phone calls, it turned out that the Seaside Park Administration and the Baku Executive Power had nothing to do with this exhibition. The search led to the Ministry of Culture, which has an exhibition department. It was reported that the co-organizers of the military exposition are the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The Ministry of Defense has clearly stated that they are not the organizers of this exhibition.
Only the Ministry of Culture gave information about the future Museum of Victory (Zəfər müzeyi), which is part of a single complex with a military equipment park. The ministry does not know when the construction of the Victory Museum will begin and be completed; now they are accepting and considering projects.
Who is creating the Park of captured (Armenian) military equipment, when will it be opened, which organization is responsible for this exposition? Will the enemy's instruments of death remain in the open air after reconciliation in the Caucasus? The attempt of Turan agency to find it out were futile. — 0—
